The Year of Leadership:

  • Published the leadership position paper, “Improving Student Achievement in Mathematics by Addressing the Needs of the English Language Learner”.
  • Published the leadership position paper, “Improving Student Achievement in Mathematics by Promoting Positive Self Beliefs”.
  • Amended the “Glenn Gilbert National Leadership Award” to the “Ross Taylor/Glenn Gilbert National Leadership Award”.
  • Established emeritus membership.
  • Redesigned the NCSM Website.
  • Held the 13th NCSM Leadership Academy “PRIME Leadership: Stomping on the Gap!” (July 14-17 2009 at the Zermatt Resort & Conference Destination, Midway, UT and July 15-18, 2009 at the Indian University – Purdue University Indianapolis in Indianapolis, IN).
  • Launched the NCSM Facebook page.
