NCSM celebrates its 57th Annual Conference, continuing our dedication to the life-long learning of bold mathematics education leaders. NCSM is committed to supporting leaders’ work in inspiring high-quality mathematics teaching and learning every day for each and every learner.

Join us in Atlanta, Georgia, a city with a a deep legacy in civil rights, as we focus on ways to Rise Up with Bold Mathematics Leadership. Conference sessions will focus on Accelerating Student Learning, Elevating Mathematics Instruction Through Bold Leadership, Equity Rising: Transformative Practices in Mathematics Education, and Lifting Teacher Practice Through Coaching.

2025 Conference Strands

  • Accelerating Student Learning:  Bold mathematics leaders push the boundaries of traditional teaching methods and implement practices that accelerate student learning. Sessions in this strand will focus on ways to foster accelerated student learning including:
    • Innovative instructional strategies that have proven to be effective in accelerating student learning.
    • Differentiated practices that make mathematics accessible and meaningful for all students.
    • Fostering inclusive learning environments that empower all students.
  • Elevating Mathematics Instruction Through Bold Leadership:  Bold mathematics leaders drive positive change in mathematics education through impactful professional learning. Sessions in this strand will focus on ways leaders support mathematics educators through strategies, structures, and resources including:
    • Implementation of evidence-based professional development approaches.
    • Development or implementation of instructional resources.
    • Structures to support collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Equity Rising: Transformative Practices in Mathematics Education: Bold mathematics leaders advocate for inclusive practices and address systemic barriers to ensure all students have access to high-quality mathematics instruction. Sessions in this strand will highlight ways to actualize equity in mathematics instruction including:
    • Developing students’ mathematical identity and agency.
    • Promoting culturally responsive pedagogies to honor diversity in mathematics education.
    • Advocating for equitable policies that create inclusive pathways for all students.
  • Lifting Teacher Practice Through CoachingBold mathematics leaders elevate teacher practice through coaching to support teachers professional growth and foster reflective practice. Sessions in this strand will focus on the role of coaches in improving mathematics instruction including:
    • Establishing a culture of trust and collaboration.
    • Utilizing data to inform coaching practices.
    • Developing teacher self-efficacy.
    • Coaching frameworks that support reflective practice and improved instruction.

 Important Dates

  • October 7, 2024: Proposal system opens October 7, 2024, Click HERE to apply!
  • December 2, 2024: Proposal Submission site closes at midnight PDT.
  • February 28, 2025: Lead presenters will be notified by this date about the status of each proposal.
  • March 28, 2025: Deadline for lead presenters to confirm details for accepted sessions.
