A Podcast for Bold Math Leaders
Sometime in the past year I rediscovered podcasts. They’re perfect for a bit of learning or entertainment while out for a walk or during the daily commute (if anyone does that during a pandemic). I enjoy a good short-story, tips for running my fantasy football team, or nuggets that help me think about how I can grow as a leader in mathematics.
NCSM has rebooted monthly podcasts to support bold leaders like you and me. The series is Learning with Leaders: The Bold Mathematics Leadership series hosted by NCSM President, Mona Toncheff who has me tagging along as a co-host.
New sessions are released on the 11th of each month. You can find them anywhere you get your podcasts including
Our first four episodes are great conversations about equity in mathematics through the lens of ADVOCACY (with Mike Flynn), DESIGNING structures (with Emma Trevino, Carmen Whitman and Harold Asturias), MONITORING (with Beatrice Moore Luchin), and EMPOWERING (with Tracy Zager and Elham Kazemi).
But we need you!
- What questions do you have about being a bold mathematics leader?
- What topics keep you up at night?
- Who do you want to hear from?
- What will help you grow as a leader?
